Part-Time Hyperbaric Technician – Durham, NC
Welcome to Extivita-RTP, a thriving medical clinic proudly home to one of the largest, private, hyperbaric oxygen therapy centers in the United States. Situated on the edge of Research Triangle Park in Durham, NC, we stand as a testament to the power of integrative therapies in improving and extending the quality of life for our patients. Our facility encompasses two state-of-the-art multi-seat Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers, a Nutritional IV Clinic, Infrared Sauna, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy, and Neurofeedback Therapy.
We are eager to expand our dedicated team by welcoming on board a seasoned, self-driven, and highly meticulous Hyperbaric Technician/Assistant to play a pivotal role in our Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Clinic. We seek an individual who not only has a keen eye for detail, but more importantly, thrives in a palpable environment of healing, professional growth, and mutual respect.
Job Responsibilities:Â
As a member of our dynamic team your responsibilities will spread across administrative tasks, patient records management, appointment coordination, and providing exceptional customer service. Being a Hyperbaric Technician/Assistant, you will:
- Prepare and educate patients about the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
- Prepare hyperbaric chamber before hyperbaric treatments.
- Obtaining dive protocol from Chamber Operator or administration.
- Assisting in the acquisition of patient vitals and reporting them to administration.
- Assist patients inside multi-place hyperbaric chamber during HBOT sessions with hyperbaric oxygen administration as prescribed by the hyperbaric provider.
- Operate hyperbaric chamber and other support systems in accordance with all safety standards and regulations.
- Assist team with chamber and equipment maintenance.
Job Qualifications/Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or relevant education is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a genuine desire to assist patients and provide exceptional care.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate the clinic’s operational needs.
- CPR certified preferred.
- Must be able to pass a physical exam to work inside a hyperbaric chamber.
