American Red Cross supplies 40% of the nation’s blood. And when 2022 rolled around and Omicron spread like wildfire across our nation, American Red Cross’ worst fears started to come true. There was very little life-saving blood left in their banks.
2022 quickly became the year of the worst blood shortage in over a decade.
